Looking for "Geezer" in NYC

I thought I might take a chance in finding a jadded "I'm done looking for a band, they all suck" kinda person

I can't believe how difficult it is to find the right person. We're not looking for a virtuoso necessarily, just someone who actually isn't a jazz fuzo wannabe who thinks they can play hard rock because they "once played Paranoid at a rehearsal".

We have excellent material, a very heavy sound, a plan, resources and industry connections…we want a bass player who “digs in”, has a feel for soulful hard rock/70s metal, has transportation and either is, or looks like they are in their mid 20s.

We are a unique and provocative hard rock band consisting of singer, guitarist and drummer. We have original material and self identify as a “Black Metal” band, but sound very much like a syncopated Black Sabbath/Led Zeppelin. The drummer plays loud, driving Band of Gypsys/John Bonham backbeats. Guitar player plays brutal bluesy Toni Iommi/Ihsahn riffs. Lyrics are socially & culturally provocative.

We are fronted by a black female singer from Southern Africa who sings in a very aggressive soulful style in the vein of Sabbath era Ozzy or pre-war blues singers. She is absolutely no Ashanti or Avril L. This girl can really sing. No cookie monster vocals.

...or you wanted to commute a day a week to the NY metro area for daytime rehearsals...
