Looking for keyboard for girlfriend.

Sign in to disble this ad
Walked into a guitar center and saw the keyboard section girl was with me so I put two together and it would be hot if she could play plus she is intrested has a good ear for music and can already play a little,

looking to spend under 600$, would like full size keyboard but portable, and if possible have a little extras like synth just incase I wanted to use it for something,, ehh it doesn't need that. Also would prefer for it to not have built in speakers.. any recomendations?

Yamaha MM6 sounds like its right up your ally. they're generally around $600 but if you get lucky you can get one for $300 on Ebay. Its cheap by synthesizer standards but i've heard it and testimonies that say the thing is solid. Its basically a budget Motif. I say you snag yourself one of those.

m-audio makes a few that are really sick. 88 keys, fully weighted, works as a midi controller also. One version is like just a controller, one version has around 7 sounds, and one is a full blown keyboard with tons of sounds. I think they are all under your price range. I was surprised when I played one cuz normally m-audio stuff kinda falls apart. These were made very solidly.

On a more serious note, I have a friend who owns this one and it works great.
