Looking for Motown Transcriptions

Sign in to disble this ad
It looks like very soon I'll fulfill a long standing desire and start playing in a Motown band, complete with horns and backup singers.

Does anyone know of a source of quality Motown transcriptions? I have a lot of material to learn and between my other band and the fact that I'll be travelling for work often over the next couple of months I don't have time to work out the lines myself. I have Standing in the Shadows of Motown already, and that's helpful, but I'm looking for other sources - hopefully with songs.

Any pointers would be appreciated. Thanks

This is a nice companion for your SITSOM book-
Amazon.com: Motown Bass Classics (Pvg) (0073999902532): Hal Leonard Corp.: Books

This book has Marvin Gaye's version of "Grapevine" (even though the Contents list it as Gladys Knight's).

Another link-

Seems he also recommends the two books mentioned above.
