Looking for a new Gig bag..

Sign in to disble this ad
I have a Road Runner.... but I want something that wont sit quite as high on my shoulder... and the zippers on the back pack part of it no longer hold.. I am considering these bags at the moment..

Gator G-SLNG-DLX-BSS Deluxe Slinger Bass Bag
and
Gator Viper Bass Guitar Gig Bag with Laptop Compartment (Grey¹)
and
Crossrock R20 Element Electric Bass Guitar Gig Bag
and
Series ONE Bass Bag

Does anyone have experience with any of them? What would you recommend... I am looking to spend between $70-$100 give or take a dime on the higher end.. but I want something that will hook up more above the body of the bag so that if I have it on my shoulder I am not bumping into door jambs..

I am leaning more towards the Slinger or the Crossrock..

That Crossrock looks like a winner.

I'm on the lookout for a secure, dependable bag, myself. Thinking of using it in conjunction with the SKB Bass Safe for air travel. It's such a crap shoot. Carvin sells only one gig bag and it looks pretty solid, too.

This Fender bag is shown at well below list, and is thicker than the nice, gig bag sold with the MIM Jazz. I have two of these, and recommend this bag...

Best of all, it's thick & tough!

That's cheap enough to justify the poor reports I've heard about the zippers....
