Looking for really small drum machine

Sign in to disble this ad
Like the title says... I'm looking for a really small drum machine.

How small? What features? In a perfect world this unit would be...
1 - about the size of a pack of cigarettes.
2 - battery operated.
3 - have at least 2 dozen different rhythm patterns.
4 - bass input/headphone outs.

I've got the Tascam MP3 Bass Trainer... love it... but sometimes I just want to practice against a rhythm track. One option I have is to record some rhythm tracks and put them on my Tascam, but changing the tempos after that is a pain. Not a perfect solution.

Any suggestions?

Hi,

I've never seen anything that would fit your description. The closest thing, I guess, would be an iPhone(or an Android phone) with one of the many available drum machine apps, but you can't plug a bass into it....

Other than that, like I said, I've never seen a pocket size drum machine......would be pretty cool if there was one though

Native Instruments on iPhone handles the bass i/o. Not sure about the drum machine app and integration with it though.

Use a Pocket Rocket with the iPhone or Droid as a sound input (instead of an iPod).....I'm a brand new droid owner and am gonna try it right now.

I know I can use something and something... but what I'm looking for is one nice, neat little package that's self contained and doesn't need another part to make it work. Keep those suggestions coming.....

Wow... I'm sure there's a drum machine somewhere in there

Way too complicated for me.... I'm just a simple bass player looking for a simple & small drum machine....
