Oh man, tough luck ... but I am glad that you can see at least something good in such a situation. And that you, your dogs and bass are still with us, of course

I'm sorry that you lost so much, but thank God that your dogs and bass survived.

You've got a very optimistic outlook on things. That's a good thing to have. I'll be praying for you man. I'm glad you've got the things that matter most and I hope you get everything else back 2 fold.

That's great news that the dogs and bass made it.

Has anyone dealt with litigation without having renters insurance? Restaurant next to my building caused my building to catch fire.... Any 2 cents would be appreciated

Haha, you're all set! Now all you need to do is play bass on a busy sidewalk with your dog next to you until you get enough money to buy a new house, lol. I kid, I kid.

You have my condolences! A similar thing happened to me back in 2004... Lost about 95% of my earthly possessions with no recourse.

Wow, that sucks. Nice job saving the dogs.
Don't know your living situation right now, but if you need a practice amp, you're welcome to my SWR LA12. It's only 60W's but it's got a decent sound. It's also a cube that can double as a snack tray.

If you didn't have renter's insurance, you're pretty much SOL unfortunately (at least from situations I've heard about)

At least the important stuff made it. Good luck

As quickly as possible make a list of everything you lost in the fire and get a hold of a lawyer so you can put a lean on the restaurant, (which may be a numbered company). ..... Try to find a free advice lawyer first, if not it'll cost you. ...... If the restaurant got wiped out he may just take his insurance money and go out of business and you'll be put far back in line behind the banks and all his suppliers. ....... In most of these cases it doesn't fare well for renters without insurance. ..... Sorry for the 'not-so-good' news. .... But you do have your life and you're pretty lucky, so don't get pissed off and angry cause at some point you have to accept and move on.

There's a word for this: it's called class. You, sir are a good man.

Also, your avatar is awesome.

Also, I will donate my spare monster instrument cable to the OP.

The restaurant is being starting this week. They have more money than they can handle. Its unfortunate that they have not contacted me since the first flame..... on a lighter note, thank you to the people that are helping me out.
