For the love of ZZ Top
In my experience anyways, it always seems when you meet a new musician to jam with, or any musician for that matter, and you are talking about bands and influences that ZZ Top is never mentioned unless someone else mentions them first. I find it kind of funny. I would always say ZZ top is one of my favorites and people will say something like "OH YEAH! I forgot about them." It's like they're the band you are not supposed to talk about.
BLUES ROCK ALL THE WAY! ;)
ZZ Top has been a huge part of my music career from early on when I got a copy of Tres Hombres. I have played and sung many of their songs from the time they were new until even yesterday at band practice. The other thing is that no matter type of event I play at, their songs always go over very well.
My band played dressed up as ZZ Top for Halloween and played a 10 song set of ZZ tunes.
It went over REALLY well.
ZZ Top RULES.
Fandango is great.
