Question M-Audio IE 30 IEM's. Has anyone used these?

I am interested to hear anyone's thoughts on the M-Audio IE 30 in ear monitors. Do they handle the bass signal well? They also have an "XB" model that is for extended bass.

Just wondering if I would be dissapointed in using them of IEM's.

Thanks...

Interesting... I was just researching these quite a bit today. Actually, I was looking at the Ultimate Ears super.fi 5 pro's, which are the same thing as the IE30s. They look like they're pretty top-notch for the price.

I'd like to hear the responses as well.

My research is showing the same thing. Are they both made by Ultimate Ears? If they are the same thing, the super.fi 5 pro's can be had for about $70.00 bucks less which tends to get my attention...

Everything I've seen indicates that they are made by the same company.

My only 'downer' is that I can find better-priced Pros in black and white, but none in clear.

Specs look the same so I agree they are one in the same. I'm still on the fence. I just don't want to cheap out and wish I had gone with UM2's or E5's later. I like the option of getting the ear molds later. I'm thinking of spending the money on these rather than upgrade my speaker cabinet.

Check this site out: http://www.earphonesolutions.com/uleasucl.html

Let me know how they sound if you end up getting them.

Thanks...

Actually, I'm leaning heavily towards getting these custom molds from my other thread for $249. Supposedly on par with Shure E500's. It will probably take a lot to talk me out of them!

Custom dual driver IEMs for $249!!

How do you go about getting the custom molds?

Go to an ear/nose/throat specialist or something, they'll take impressions for under $50, give them to you and you send them to whatever company you're dealing with, who will make the custom IEMs.

One of the big selling points of the UE's (to me) was the detachable/replaceable cables... these customs have them and they're cheaper than if you'd put custom molds on the UE 5 Pros.
