I just picked up a Mako Traditionals strat copy just for fun (it was cheep and for a good cause).
anyone know anything about Mako?

My first bass was a Mako, a black and maple P bass copy. This was about 1982 or so.

my old school had a really crappy beat up one. the pups didnt even work.

BUT

it played really good ahahah i was tempted to take it and fix it up. it sounds like it was the same one you had humbl..etc...

Mine wasn't a bad bass. It had a decent neck and nice tuners, maybe Grover tuners...I ended up getting an original 1972 Fender P bass and being an young genius I took the stock pickup out of the Fender and put in a SD Quarter Pounder and put the stock '72 Fender in the Mako. Brilliant!
