I've always called them "douche rock", but "MMMMMRYEA" band" works pretty well too I know it's stereotypical to hate Nickelback at this point, but I just can't help it. Every so often I'll hear the beginning of a new Nickelback song on the radio and not realize it's them at first and I'll think "okay, this isn't too bad I guess" for a second...then Chad starts singing and I can't change it fast enough.

Everybody else mentioned in this thread I can deal with, at least in small doses.

Ben Folds has a voice with a 1 song limit for me. Any more and I realise I hate it.

Are there any guys we like to hear sing? Maybe it's a hetro thing to not really dig guys vocals?

Ed Kowalczyk (former Live frontman) has a really good voice IMO.

90% of all high-pitched emo/pop-punk singers.

Circa Survive... (still cool though)
My Chem...
Pierce the Veil...

I'm about 20 years behind everyone I know. At 16, I was boarding the shoegaze train, and everyone else was boarding the emo/hardcore express.

Geddy, I like. Geddy can strain his voice into the high range artfully.
Emo kids... not so much. Just sing it a few steps lower, dangit! You'll sound okay! I promise!

Bieber and Nickelback are prime examples of why I don't listen to radio. Ever. I actually have yet to ever hear a Justin Bieber song, thank goodness.

EDIT: It doesn't help his West Coast Customs $100k "Bat-illac" is maddeningly cool.

Another Axl Rose hater here. With that one exception, I can't say I hate singers. I don't like Bob Dylan, Rod Steward or either of AC/DC singers. But on a regular day I couldn't be bothered changing a radio station when I hear their voice. Axl is a whole different thing.

Any of those whiny 'indie' or emo singers.
Anything with autotune. If you need autotune to sing, then you're not a singer.
MICHAEL MCDONALD. Oh man, I can hardly listen to Peg because of his obnoxious backing vox.
Anyone who mumbles or sounds like they obviously never learned that you need to open your mouth to sing. Example - Corey Taylor of Slipknot.
Oddly enough, Eddie Vedder is exempt from my previous point (for me, anyways). Never had a problem with his voice.

lockjaw singers! hahaha so awful. screamo singers are so much worse though...the actual singing, not even the screaming (although that's annoying too). they're like "yeah we like to really focus on the melodies, i mean i'm not even that into screaming anymore." so stupid. and yet all the angsty, upper-middle-class, mall-shopping, white kids eat it up, as if screamo and Andy McKee were the only two types of music in the world.

I wish James Morrison didn't exist.

And Jamie Cullum, I think his voice sounds... Dumb.

I think the muzak in certain stores irritates me to a point of my leaving the cart and walking out. Usually Michael Bolton or Anita Baker are playing....its pure hell.

Sounds like you have both social class and racial issues - they have classes to work through that kind of thing.
