Man accused of beating another with guitar

By PATRICK BUCHNOWSKI
The Tribune-Democrat

SOMERSET, PA — A Somerset man was jailed Monday after authorities said he beat another man with an electric guitar, sending that man to the hospital.

State police in Somerset accused David Andrew Lynn, 39, of East Main Street, of striking Jason Arle Salvatore “several times” with a Fender Squire electric guitar.

Troopers said Salvatore told them he went to his neighbor’s residence around 4:30 a.m. and found Lynn holding down another man in the bedroom.

Salvatore said that when he confronted him, Lynn struck him in the shoulder and the arm with the guitar.

Lynn was charged with aggravated assault, simple assault, disorderly conduct and harassment.

He was arraigned by District Judge Arthur Cook of Somerset and sent to Somerset County Jail after failing to post

$10,000 bond.

Salvatore was taken to Somerset Hospital, where troopers said he was treated for a severely bruised arm.

I've often wanted to do the same sometimes...my 5er would create a lovely dent in someone's skull.

I see that, just like many of our honored TB members, Mr. Buchnowski can't spell "Squier".

thats kinda funny...
but in a sense a guitar, or bass for that matter, is an excellent weapon.
a bass is like a viking axe hammer and could do work on someones skull.

What's the big deal, it was only a Squire. It's not like it was some vintage pre-CBS thing,

The only guys I've ever wanted to beat with a guitar were attempting to play it at the time.

If I hit somebody with my Steinberger L2 they would feel it. I always tell the guys in the band that I have a great weapon if anybody attacks the band.

It probably wouldn't even go out of tune.
