Mandolin?

I've recently become interested in the mandolin and I listen to a lot of mandolin music.

So I was wondering whether you can just pick one up for fun and learn a few songs on it? It would be amazing if my band could do a proper version of Styx's Boat On The River...

Mandolin was one of the easiest instruments I have had experience with to pick up and play IMHO.

Methinks I'm going to give learning that Styx song a shot!

Mandolins don't hold a large volume of liquid.

Just a heads up.

me2

My mom bought me one for like 60 bucks its a rogue. I don't play it that often but when your stuck in those situations where the bands going to the park to play and picnic and you don't feel the need to bring a generator and an amp, mandolins are great to have. Its a cute instrument and lots of fun!

It's probably going to be easier to take with you on the heli once you're a commando.
