I have seen the Leland Stanford Junior Memorial Band perform Bowie's 'Suffragette City', Green Day's 'Long View', and the Stones' 'Brown Sugar'.

it does appear that they have a string section. I played bass in my high school marching band and we had a guitar player, but I've never seen a marching band with other strings before.

I'm pretty sure that there are at least two violins/violas back there, along with what looks like a Schecter Stiletto Custom bass.
