I like movement 2. I will have an excuse to use 38 FX pedals. |

Carol of the Bells
Letter from Home
House of the Rising Sun
Letter from home has nothing to do with spring but we had to have a slow song, cause the other three are balls out bombastic.
Our HOTRS is the main melody of the original song played in crazy ragtime.

Nite Ride'n on da Riva
Scoot'n on Hardrock
Take 5
Lets get it started in here (or something like that) by the Black Eyed Peas
I'm not thrilled about the closer, but hopefully it'll work out.

The directors won't ever let me play bass though. These guys hate everything but band music. Jazz, Pop, rock, metal, blues, they hate it all.
We also did Labyrinth by Poulan the year before. It was terrible. The marching for that is pretty hard. |

When I was in high school, back in the Jurassic Era, Return of the Jedi had just come out the summer before school started my senior year. We got to do a Star Wars themed show....went to state with it too! I had a solo and a duet, and it was cool. We played in the Astrodome during the playoffs, and that was pretty damned awesome. I kinda miss band. |

I did marching band all 4 years.
I was IMO, there to make up for a lack of tuba prescence, and to add tone color.
Some fun songs that were bass heavy/fun:
Also Sprach Zarathrusta [sorry for the butchered spelling]
Blue Rondo
Unsquare Dance
Without Warning [bass part was fuuuuuuuuuuun-really it was]
Senior year-we did an arrangement of the intersteller suite.....the day of the preview-the percussion/music guy said to me "hey cam, you got some sort of fuzzbox?" so i ended up using the distortion on my RBI until i went home and got my Black Coffee Metal Distortion and controled the level of it w/an EB 6166 Vol. pedal.
In the opener of that-until it was cut, i had this killer double stop part that was doubling the tubas and the high brass-was fun. Was cut so that i could switch to upright in better time.
I think that's going to be something that i miss in college-no MB.

I was playing my StingRay5 for the last 2 years of it so that bass is pretty bright the way it is. I'm not really going to make much sense....i'll come back and edit this post when i've gotten some sleep.
