Sorry if this is old news:

MarkBass are gonna make and sell electronic drums , a competitor to Roland V-drum. They are gonna start by making entry level kits.
Touch screen brain & etc....

Wonder why they haven't tried to do a V-Bass before ......

I didn't know that markbass is making drums. I'm familiar with their bass amps. is this recent news?

I've heard this some months ago at my local music store. Apparently the MarkBass setup goes at more than 2000 €, it's not "entry level". The seller is a drummer and thought it was foolish to use Alesis trigger for their sets.

The new Pearl drum set 'semi acoustic' is in the same price range and seems better.
