The Mars Volta or At The Drive-In ?

Which one you like better ? Why ?

I like At The Drive-In better..

I don't like Cedric's singing in The Mars Volta on most song.. The music also seems to be everywhere. I think At The Drive-In did a better a job.

(but I like Juan Alderete better than Hinojo's bass playing )

I can't pick one! Granted the last Mars Volta album I bought was Frances, but from Tremulant to Frances TMV proved themselves just as good as ATDI, in a different way.

I prefer TMV to Sparta, though.

I strongly prefer TMV over At the Drive-In. I find At the Drive-In to be kind of annoying to listne to, it was just never my thing.

Also where is the option for carrots?

from a music geek standpoint, mars volta is a better band. but there was something about the energy that at the drive in had that feels like it's missing with the mars volta

The Mars Volta all the way: if only for De-Loused and the live EP that was packaged with it.

At The Drive In... I can't dig Mars Volta's god awful, wanky proggy babble. I tried to like it, but just couldn't.
