I have heard he is great. I have the Live at Stubbs album that is good but I have never seen him myself.

If he was in Lexington or Louisville and only charging $31 to see him, I would definitely do it. Sigur Rós cost around $30 in Louisville and it was worth every penny.

I've seen him and his band The Roots Tonic play twice. They've blown me away both times. The second time I saw them they were sharing a bill with the Wailers and 311. They stole the show. They really grabbed hold of audience and took them somewhere. 311, granted they had sound problems, really kind of rubbed me the wrong way. I'm such a fan of their music, but they seemed so detached from their sound. Hard for me to describe. Go see Matisyahu. You'll dig it.
