Since we all know the real Paul is dead too, they got the perfect guy for the gig.

I went to Bass pro shop and to my surprise they didn't have a single bass guitar.

John Lennon always said Paul was gonna turn into an Engelbert Humperdinck and be doing the Vegas circuit in his old age.

If I'd have to make a list of guys whom I was sure would NOT pull this off...
McCartney would top it.
Good luck though to him!
Might be interesting.

I'd like to hear that trio render "Silly Love Songs."

This could be epically bad or epically great. I have a feeling it will be 'awesome' in the true sense of the word either way. I hope they play Rape Me, because seeing/hearing Sir Mac sing those lyrics would be a hoot.

Is he a good enough guitar player to pull it off?
Can his voice pull it off?

Sounds like a train wreck to me.

The voice part? Who knows?

But surely you were joking about the "guitar player" part. Right?

Great news I'm glad Sir Paul is still out there interacting with a different generation of musicians.

It's not like Kurt Cobain was a stellar singer in the first place.
Given a choice amongst old farts, I'd have taken Neil Young as an obvious choice.

The fact that it's Sir Paul he could just stand there and get a standing ovation.

No, I wasn't.
Kurt was not a guitar virtuoso but he did have a raw unique style.

I think the only people that will enjoy that show will be Paul McCartney fan boys.

Just another money grab by Dave Grohl

The article didn't say they'll be playing Nirvana songs.

How does that sound anything like this?

Well, this is purely subjective, but I don't hear Cobain doing anything that my third-month beginner guitar students or McCartney couldn't pull off.

Totally agreed about the Grohl comment though.
