Seriously, he would be pretty much perfect. From that generation, at least.
I won't pass judgment til I hear them play. Might not even be a Nirvana thing.

My band has covered plenty of Nirvana. There is no easier band to get dead on.

On a side note: Novoselic is not nearly the bass player that Nate Mendel is IMO.

I think it would be really cool to see McCartney do a couple lower-key Nirvana tunes, like the last one on In Utero. Apparently, according to my Facebook feed, Curt Cobain was a HUGE fan of Paul and the Beatles, so having Paul sing one of his songs would be an amazing tribute. |

I know it was relatively impromptu when they first got it together, but seriously "mother, set me free"? Or something of that effect. Yegh. Derivative 'attempting to sound grungey' lyrics. |

It was cool to see the Dave, Krist, Pat and Paul onstage...really cool.
I thought it was dumb that it was hyped as a "Nirvana reunion"
And that whole "they haven't played together in 20 years" I guess no one remembers that Krist played on the last Foo Fighters record, you know the band with Pat and Dave in it. |

I am not a huge Nirvana or Foo Fighters fan, but I have tons of respect for Dave Grohl as a Musician. I sort of equate him to Bruce Springsteen, in how he is willing to just randomly pull off a 3 hour set because he think s a crowd deserves it. That is pretty awesome, in my opinion.
