Straight from Larry Hartke so it has to be true ! !

Just got home and it’s pouring here in New Jersey, the traffic was awful for a Sunday… anyway I just spend the entire day attending seminars in Upper Montclair at the “Institute for Advanced Music History” and I learned that the word BASS stands for….” Bass, Acoustic, Symphony, Sound.” That’s great to know, I had never really thought about it before

There is something quite obvious that logically indicates that this is incorrect.

"Bass, Acoustic, Symphony, Sound.”

This was the basis on which the specifications for the architecture of Carnegie Hall was constructed; in order to create the perfect structure to obtain optimal resonance of orchestral bass frequencies.
