Metal basslines that are difficult, but not tooooo difficult.

Could you recommend some? I'm aware of Cannibal Corpse and lots of other death metal bands that have crazy bassists, but that stuff is a little hard for me. I've attempted Frantic Disembowelment, and I got about 70% of it down, but it's tough.

Always start with Number of the Beast Even if you don't like Iron Maiden... best warmup song ever.

Totally thought about that, man. I think the bassline for the second guitar solo in that song is an excellent part to soundcheck too, plus I can play that song with my eyes close I love Iron Maiden.

Try "bloodmeat" by Protest The Hero

It's not exactly metal....more like metalcore with heavy prog influences.

Bloodmeat has a cool bassline, fun to play, not to easy or hard and has a tapping solo somewhere in the middle.

Learned the tapping part and the rest of the song after that. The tabs that I found are wrong for that song. Great bassline though.

I guess my Metal is rusted compared to yours
Bark At The Moon has been pretty cool to learn. For extra credit, follow the palm-muted guitar fills.
