I've always liked Dave Mustaine's musical attitude, lead guitar playing, and snarling faces not to mention one of my very favorite bass players who also uses a pick - David Ellefson.
The "So Far, So Good, So What" album just kicks ass from start to finish ..... excellent CD.

I still love Metallica's first 4 albums. Plus, I can't stand Mustaine. Ellefson is rad though... Always liked that dude. |

Oddly enough, if I had to choose who I wanted to see live, I'd choose Megadeth. Anyone know if Mustaine got his voice back some what? I heard he was having some kind of surgery a while back. His vocals didn't sound very good live and he even re-recorded the vocals for a DVD release (or more than one?).

I did love both equally, once. Now, I can't stand much of anything from Metallica after Load.
But I still love Megadeth. And David Ellefson still kicks ass.
He and Steve Harris are my favorite metal bassists, hands down.

Is the surgery recent? |

Metallica's come back to thrash (Death Magnetic) doesn't even hold a candle to Megadeth's (The System Has Failed).
