And I can't wait to see them at Soundwave in March

My beef w/ Mustaine is the way he treated Ellefson for so long and that he's a douchey conservative. Plus I don't really like his voice. Lars and James are just greedy whiners. |

That being said, I still love Megadeth, more so than Metallica, at least. |

Some might find that interesting but I can't get into it from them. Megadeth had some sketchy output but not as bad as Metallica. |

.....go | Metallica by a hair. I love everything Metallica did up until Load/ reLoad. I just couldn't get into those songs. I was in the minority but other than the horrible snare sound I liked Saint Anger. Death Magnetic is what I thought they would sound like at this age, pretty cool.
Megadeth was great too, but Youthanasia rubbed me wrong. Overproduced, with no edge. Cryptic was okay but sounded like leftover b sides thrown together to fill a contract. Risk was terrible. Hero was not much better. Maybe a couple of ok songs. System was getting better with a few more but the majority were still bland. United was better yet, but still not a buy for me. It wasn't until Endgame that I felt songs were back up to par. 13 is cool, but not quite as good as endgame.
I guess it comes down to who has fewer clunkers and Metallica wins that contest. Metallica is a better live band as well. Dave is lifeless on stage. He reminds me of Dylan live. Lately Dave was doing the high notes falsetto which pretty lame. I could do without the 30 minute solos Metallica insists on, but they are just more fun, and look like they actually want to be on stage. Dave is a bigger prick than Lars. Dave chooses to be a prick. Lars was just born that way. |

Like I said, I thought Saint Anger was pretty decent except for the snare drum sound. Youthanasia, Cryptic, Risk, Hero, all pretty lame. Kind of phoned in as far as song writing. Please excuse me for having an opinion different than yours. |

A couple of years ago, I subscribed to his yt channel, and his personality kinda came across as one of these sleezy music industry guys, It was disappointing to me, I can totally see him being an uptight snobby jerk in real life.
still love those basslines though! |

Metallica got me interested in metal and then introduced me to Megadeth, but Mustaine's albums since coming back (starting with The System Has Failed) has really grabbed me to the point of completing the entire back catalog. At this point in time, I'll grab any Megadeth album if I want some good metal.
That said, I still like Met, and appreciate a lot of their "frowned upon" albums, mainly for trying something new and (depending on your thoughts) failing at it. |

| | | | Megadeth has the better overall discography, by far. I only really like the first 3 Metallica records, and those are tainted by everything they've done since then, personally and musically. |
