MF Screwed Up My Shipping Address

Sign in to disble this ad
I called up Musician's Friend so I could get them to price match a 20% off coupon I got in the mail from Sam Ash. I had moved since the past time I ordered from MF so I made it perfectly clear on the phone that I had a new address and gave them the new information.

Yesterday I got the shipment confirmation and the bass was going to my old address! I pulled up the order and they used the new address for my billing address but still shipped to the old one.

Luckily I was able to call them and get the package redirected but now I won't be getting the bass until after Thanksgiving. They mentioned possibly giving me some additional credit if it causes any additional issues. I'm just annoyed that it could have gone to my old address and caused a major headache.

Has this happened to anyone else? If so what type of store credit did they issue you if any?

On the bright side I'm getting a brand new Lakland 44-01 for 4 bills.

I've gotten a few email responses from them that basically say "We're sorry it got shipped to the wrong address but there's nothing we can do other than contact UPS and hope they will re-route it." They aren't really taking ownership for the shipping mistake by saying they screwed up. Instead they just keep telling me its in UPS's hands.

That happened to my guitarist as well. Their shipping database and customer database don't look to be updating properly. They have messed up his last 3 orders as well.

Beats a sharp stick in your eye.

I've never had a problem with MF.

You should have also got a 20% off your next phone order. They screwed up my last 2 orders. The first time, they gave me the 20%. The second time, they gave me the 20% plus a $20 store credit.
