| I've never seen a program that did this well, and I can't fathom why. I know it's fairly tricky, but you would think that if we can teach a computer to recognize letters and human speech then we can teach them to produce clean notation instead of over-literal garbage.
Also, Noteworthy Composer can open MIDIs in score form. Under Linux, Rosegarden is a program for doing that. It also has a clearer piano roll display if you're into that.
