Midrange Wireless system for 5 string

Guys
I know we have had many threads on wireless systems and the shure ULX series seem to rule in the semi-pro market but they are out of my budget.
Im looking to spend maybe £300-£400 on a system that will give me a good signal and i see most only go as low as 40hz.
now what is confusing me is that my Cab (a 1210) only goes to 40hz as well so am i right in thinking i should still get a radio system that goes lower?
As i cant find anything that does in my price range im looking for recomendations for something that will still work for me (not a cable). im not playing large venues or big stages so range isnt a problem. its more to keep the playing area clear of wires. at the moment i use a AKG GB system but its cutting a lot of the low end out. this goes to 40hz but im sure if i got a better system it would make less difference to my sound.
oh, and i need it asap and im in the UK
Thanks for any help with this very old question.
