A mixer thing...

I forget the name, sorry if it's been discussed.

Is anyone familiar with a technique of running a small mixer into itself? You can even run effects in the chain with it.

A friend of mine showed me this a while ago, however, I've forgotten the name and I haven't talked to my friend 'cause he's busy with his new baby.

Any help? Thanks!

Hi.

Most probably Your friend was showing you how to use the AUX send of a channel to feed the effects, and instead of completing the loop in the AUX in, to plug into a free channel for more control over the EQ/gain/etc.

Feeding the output of a mixer back to a channel is possible on some desks, but that's a nearly useless "feature".

Regards
Sam
