Modding a Bass

Ok, I've come to the dilemma that many people probably have. They want a J bass with a P neck or a P bass with a J neck. Well, right now I'm looking at the first. I'm looking at purchasing a used VM squier fretless jazz bass (like $180 here used) and throwing on a fretted aftermarket P neck and a pickguard.

If none knows, here is the bass in question:

Note that I am just getting this thing 'cause I know that my local store has 2 of 'em for $180 used, so I can easily access it, so please don't hate on not wanting to buy it for its fretlessness. Also, as I said, I would also throw a pickguard on there. So, my question to you all is this: how easily will a neck such as Mighty Mite MM2906 P-Bass Replacement Neck with Rosewood Fingerboard and more Bass Pickups & Parts at GuitarCenter.com. <that fit on the jazz bass (and does the aftermarket neck come with frets?)

Thanks!
