The thread is very informative & educational,those who may be interested in true Funk can refer to it without having to search for it. Honestly,The Creator of the thread created it with the intent on educating those who had misconceptions and an incorrect vision on what Funk is!it's just a positive outlet to show the interested(and let them hear)what true funk is! Where it comes from and how it was created.
I,the thread starter and some others who have posted tracks are contributing members and I think that the sharing of our experiences can help at least one bassist become a better more proficient and knowledgeable bassist.
There are a boatload of people who don't even listen to true or real funk, They think Geddy Lee and Flea are funk!We bassist of the funk era are trying to give none funk bass players something to listen to, something to learn.
