Monocase Vertigo Review!

Hello Folks, i've just recieved my new Monocase Vertigo Bass Gig Bag (Grey with red boot) this gigbag is AMAZING!

The look of it is hi-fi modern style as perhaps you may have seen, the overall look of the bag is super nice, the red boot, the diagonal sewing, the "Mono" letters in front, and the minimalistic aspect make you look like you are in a modern fresh life style haha!

I'd say that this bag is 9 of 10 regarding Construction and durability, just because once i saw a Reunion Blues Continental, and honestly was the bag with the best finish i've ever seen, but this Monocase is just half step down, everything seems very durable, the fabric is robust,, the thread they use is like heavy duty, everything is well sewn, the boot is the same material of shoes sole, however is a little softer, its big and very sturdy, putting the bass in the floor is no more a concern with this bag, you can easly drop it from 20cm and nothing will happen, the straps are very comfortable, but not too padded.

From inside, it's almost the same as the M80, nice soft fabric, and there's an extra padding at the bottom that you can remove and adjust its position with the velcro it has side to side

This bag is definitely more slim, there's not too much room for the instrument to move inside, my 35' scale 5string bass fits perfect but no more than that, the headlock system is nice but in my opinion the back piece of it, its a little too high, so when you put the bass inside and close the bag, creates some kind of "bulge" in the middle of the case if you see it from the side, but that's only aesthetics issues, the upper piece of the headlock seem to support up to 6 strings broadneck, or a 17mm 7 strings necks maximum, but i'm not sure, i've not measured that!

When you wear the bag, it feels great and comfortable, the only thing that bothers me is that it stays too high above my head, about 30cm, and i am 6,7 feet tall, but i guess i have to get used, the bag is ligthweight in general.

The front pocket is surprisingly large, fits 3 cables, a strap like the betty strap also from Mono (Bought one too), and some book easily, fit also a Genz Benz Shuttle 6.0 Head alone, awesome!

I hope this help you, and sorry for the bad english!

Got one yesterday, also grey color but the boot seems orange to me...
Anyway, so far it's the best bag I've ever had. I love the extra bottom protection!
The only downside is that the neck support piece will accommodate a 4 string neck but is not wide enough for my 5 string. My 6 string neck won't fit in at all. It still holds the basses in place just fine when zipping it up. The result is that "bulge" FunkyMan has mentioned. Otherwise everything is perfect, I'm very happy with it.

I said it before, I'll say it again: If Mono ever introduces a Dual version of the Vertigo I will buy one in a heartbeat!

So I guess my new 6 string bass neck won't fit.

I have a Ken Smith 6 string. I seriously doubt that it will fit in the vertigo case. I guess I will have to just go for the M80. I just don't like hardshell cases at all so I'm just gonna get a very stable thick gig bag.
