Monster Cable Warranty

Sign in to disble this ad
I've got a monster cable that went bad recently and I've got a question about the warranty. I've heard that you can walk in to guitar center with a broken one and they'll hand you a new one, but my cable looks like it's at least 10 years old. It's got older plugs that don't look like the new ones. Will guitar center replace the cable anyway, or will they refuse since the newer style cable is a different part number?

By the way, I don't have a receipt or anything, it's a really old cable.

Monster recently changed their warranty. It used to be that no matter what the issue, even if you cut the cable yourself, they would replace it no questions asked. Now they will replace it unless it appears to be customer abuse. I spent about a hafl an hour in Guitar Center recently regarding this issue. They replaced it, but it was still a hassle. Hope this helps.
