Monster Cables

Sign in to disble this ad
Has anyone used one of those Monster Bass Cables? For 50 bucks, do they really make much of a difference and deliver a better punch for your performance opposed to a regular monster cable? What about those dinky random cables? I know the quality of monster is much better then the no name crappy cables, plus a life time guarantee. But has anyone say down with the Monster Bass Cable vs. a standard monster cable?

I personally think the only reason that makes them any better is the warranty and that's it. But I make my own cables with neon orange.

Yeah, read the threads. Bongomania (I think it was him) did a big cable test/shoot out with interesting results and a heated debate.

Long story short is this: No, they don't make a difference, but the warranty is nice.

Yeah, good warranty, great durability. I've had a Performer 500 for over 8 years and gigged extensively. I don't recommend them for recording, but a good practice cable. -Luke

Planet Waves. Better cables, lifetime warranty, half the price.

Ive read too many times about their oversized plugs causing the bass/guitar output jack to get messed up so when you try to you regular size 1/4 plug cables they are too loose and dont make good contact anymore. I wont use them. I use and prefer livewire elite. I think they are a better cable then monsters overall. Mogammi's top of line would also be great choice.

I buy bulk cable from a place called The RapcoHorizon Company. 20' is like $11 but it takes a month to get.
