Haven't been there for years. They used to have a good selection of Euphonic Audio and Bergantino bass gear, as well as some cool used stuff.

I've been there a few times, but don't think I've made any major purchases there (almost bought a Berg, but didn't). As far as I could tell, good folks there...but can't say any more than that.

Made quite a few purchases over the years. Nice folks, always stocking neat stuff and cool vintage pieces. They have a bit of entry level stuff and have always carried a few high-end lines. They also sell on ebay I believe but I don't go there so I don't know what their feedback is. Dave the owner is very passionate about music and tone and loves cranking-up an amp and letting it rip. They are happy to let you spend quality time with products. Many years ago he let me demo equipment, which is how I ended-up with my Dingwall and EA stuff which I still have to this day(proly 13 or so years now!), I remember hearing that he sold Jason from Metallica a bass using the same technique around the same time(good salesman I guess!). I'm sad that they aren't stocking Dingwall anymore but who knows what kind trouble I'd be in if they were!

Went one time while I was on vacation that side of the hill. Small place, and a nice guy working in the shop. Appeared to me to be the owner. I bought a Behringer BDI21 there and chatted for a spell. Seemed like a nice local place with which to do business.

Thanks for the responses.

If anyone else has dealt with Dave (possibly the owner?) or the shop and trusts him it would be great to hear from you.

Thanks again.

I <3 More Music.

It's kinda like GC, except everybody actually knows what they're talking about, and less wankers. Dave is an excellent salesman/overall dude to deal with. He has no problem letting you play around with most everything in the store, and he's usually willing to cut you a deal on most the inventory. I HIGHLY recommend him.

Dave has been in and around the Santa Cruz music scene for more than 25 years.

He used to work at the Musician's Trading Post on Ocean Street about 20 years ago there in Santa Cruz before opening his own store.

The fact that he is still around says something about his credibility.
