Originals vs Covers. Apparently, in the end there can be only one!

Rickenbacker

Fender decals

"Tone is in the hands"

Speaker cabs you can and cannot mix

Wow, this list could get exhausting. There is a lot of hate here on TB.

In addition to the above:

Tonewoods - and whether or not the wood an instrument is built from affects the tone of said instrument.

I voted for one of my favorite teachers, Mr. Berlin. He's not even around, and a thread about him goes berserk in 30 minutes. Love it, just love it.

'70s Fenders for the runner up, followed closely by ANY thread with "versus" in it. Like there are only two valid choices for all people in all things...

John

Yeah, I'm with John here... But I think I'd reverse the order.

Thus the inspiration for this thread/poll. A lot of these are good suggestions, but there are only a few topics which get people's blood boiling by the end of the first page of replies.

What are some others I should have added to the poll?

*new member* threads by females always get a lot of attention, although I would call them polarizing.

Gotta go with the "effect of tone woods".

Followed closely by the Love/Hate for Gene Simmons.
