Most recent issue of Bass Player?

Sign in to disble this ad
Hi,

The last issue I received (a long time ago) is the "Holiday 2010" issue, with David Ellefson on the cover. Is there a more recent issue? I'd like to know before I start battling the magazine's fulfillment people again.

Danke!

John

October 2010 issue.
76 pages (including the covers, because they do) and out of those 76 pages, 27 of them were full page ads for stuff I don't want or need.
That leaves 49 pages. One being the front cover.
So, 48 pages.
One is the index. OK, 47 pages left. One is the legal stuff of the magazine and a 2/3 page ad.
Now, there's 46 pages left...

Out of the rest, theres a couple product reviews, an interview and some sheet music.

For $6.00 (cover price) I would think there would be more to it. I have a subscription and I think it comes out to like under $3.00 per issue. Either way, I don't spend a lot of time going through every new issue because 40% of the magazine are advertisements and the other 60% is filled with half page ads and filler.

I don't know how much longer I want to subscribe to BP. I have every issue going back to the beginning except two, I think. One is the Rocco cover from just recently...
Either way Bass Player magazine has gotten thinner and has way too many ads for me.

Rant off.

Lately when I'm in a book store or grocery I check for a Bass magazine and it seems like they all dried up... EDIT and yes 4001 is right on the nose with way too many ads in the Mag and not enough content...I don't want to see obscure musicians and half the mag is product placement.

Thanks, I'll wait a bit more.

I figured the side comments would come, but there are already enough threads here regarding the relative merits of BP.

Bass player is not bad for the price, suscription is very cheap.

Bass Player suscription = 27 usd x 2 years

Bass Guitar suscription = 71 usd x 1 year

Bass Guitar = 525% more expensive than Bass Player.

Is anybody suscribed to Bass guitar? Does worth the money?
