Most significant Talkbass moments, 2004.

Ahh... many interesting things have taken place over this past year. I'm sure everyone will have to agree (although they won't want to) that the Polybass incident was probably the most site rattling event.

I'd say my finally getting a Bongo bass runs a close 2nd.

What do you all think, and please include links to the threads if possible.

I don't know if this would necessarily count as a TB moment, but I think the DD shooting was one of the most unnerving moments I've ever experienced. Moreso than any other event because it began almost right after the incident had occurred and continued on into the next morning. I can vividly remember the confusion and heartache that I felt during those 8 hours or so.

On a lighter note, the Rock, Paper, Scissors, Cow post was tremendous.

Well, supposedly his brother got his old computer and logged on and did that to play a trick and by the time Polly found out everything had gone to hell and he somehow couldn't fix all the confusion, anger and heartbreak caused by this prank of his brother's.

[edit] On another note...I can't really think of anything cept Joe's Bongo purchase. Once again Joe, congrats

Oh wait! Me getting my GK700RBII ^_^ That was a big highlight for me atleast.

Yeah, definitely. Can't wait for the next one

My favorite was the now extinct, "Photshopped TBers" thread.

Ok...I have questions, because clearly, I am stupid and thus did not pay attention to TB at all this year. Y'all can PM me some answers if you don't want to drag this up in the thread.

What the hell happened with...
Pollybass
Islamofacist
Rickbass?

Anyway, I'm going to go with the Tara Labs thing being pretty big this year. Hmm...Joshua selling his Zon left a huge hole in MY heart! Also, Nino starting to get known across TB for his Valentis is pretty damn sweet.

That's what really happened? I thought it was pretty much proven that Polly himself did it?

I have noticed a lot less Tiger-attacking-Gazelle-type fighting here. Most people have seemed to be much more civil this year. Then again, I pretty much avoid the lounge.

Congrats on the Bongo, Joe.

Mike

I've just recently talked to him and that's his story. I seem to also recall not long after we all found out it was a "joke" that it was his brother.

The Paper Rock Scissor Cow thread.

With so much bull going on in the world and people sadly getting bongos... it is really nice to have something so fun go on like that.

New Years resolution...

Get more into TB and maybe make some friends along the way.
