Motley Crue Song

Sign in to disble this ad
We are still adding songs to our set lists and need to throw in a couple of effective, popular songs that we can learn quickly.

What Moltley Crue song would be one of the easier ones in your opinion?

Thanks,

Wait...easiest for who?

Ah, nevermind. They're all pretty easy. Take your pick!

Shout at the Devil is pretty easy and probably my favorite Crue song. It also has the advantage of giving you (the bassist) cool bass slides in the intro.

Smokin in the Boys Room (although not a Crue original) is pretty easy.

Don't Go Away Mad... is also pretty easy

Girls, Girls, Girls - captures the essence of Motley Crue

Live Wire is a lot of fun to play, good energy.

We've talked about it...

For my money it has to be Girls Girls Girls. not really much point in doing anything else.

Crue are one of those bands everyone has heard of, but (at least here in the UK), most people couldn't name more than a couple of songs. (the other being Dr Feelgood)

Take Me To the Top, Live Wire, Kickstart My Heart, or Don't Go Away Mad(Just Go Away)

Don't do Girls, Girls, Girls.

Trouble is - I don't think one in 100 people would recognise those other songs. Even 90% of a heavy rock audience wouldnt' recognise them.

All Crue songs are pretty easy and straightforward except for maybe the drummer (think Red Hot), or the vocalist. Vince had some pipes, man. He's lost a lot of that range, but still has a pretty good voice.

I always thought the bass parts were cake, although he seemed to pick up the pace for the Dr. Feelgood album. Mick and Tommy were no slouches! As for Vince, he has about half the range these days and about 1/4th the lung capacity as he was singing 3-4 word bursts before gasping for air.

I could never stand Vince's singing live even back in the day. He's pretty much washed up now, but the rest of the guys are still moving along.
Nikki's the one who got me into playing in the first place.

Same here. Him and Gene Simmons.

I concur, I dig that song very much. Oddly, they seem to translate to today much better than some of the other bands of that era.
