Multiple wireless onstage, same brand is (dis)advantage?

Sign in to disble this ad
So my guitarists and me all want to go wireless soon. We were wondering if using wireless systems from the same brand same model on the same stage were an advantage or rather a disadvantage?
We just want to avoid having bass going through a guitaramp...

Thanks
we appreciate your help!

As long as the freqs are different. I'm assuming you're not using transmitters with addressable frequencies?

Pick a brand that you can tune.
The Sennheiser 172 allows for that.
It's also useful for tuning to a different frequency(like your gig next to a high-power transmitter on or near your "normal" frequency) so you can find and use "clear" frequencies and a different one for each player.

Some wireless systems will allow you to change the frequencies on which individual transmitters and receivers operate. If you find yourself in a bad area for RF interference (say, an Air Force base), you can change to different freqs to avoid interference.

My band uses all Shure UHF stuff, but it's quite expensive.
