Sign in to disble this ad
hey guys

i was wondering if you could suggest any good shops worth checking out in Santa Ana, Tustin, Fountain Valley area of the OC. From today, i'll be in Tustin for five days and I hope to visit some stores during my visit.

any good:

- Music stores in general (large ones?)
- Used bass shops (cheap Fender precisions?)
- Good Sheet music stores (for piano, bass, vocal)

any help is appreciated. You guys gave some great suggestions of places in San Diego a few weeks ago. Thanks

My favorite OC store is Jims Music in Irvine,
nice bass selection and they will negoiate price. It's in a yuppy area so everthing is marked high but they always treat me right in the end. Plus they might have sheet music too.

Guitar Centers in...
Fountian Valley
Brea
Mission Viejo

a few scattered ma and pa stores that might have the sheet music,

Carvin store in Santa Ana,

Bass exchange is in Ventura (about an hour west) and buffalo bros is in Carlsbad (about an hour south).

Hope this helps!

Bass Exchange is in Tarzana or something on Ventura Boulevard. If you're going up there, you might as well stop at the Hollywood GC at 7425 Sunset and check out all their overpriced vintage stuff. While you're there, Mesa, Carvin, Sam Ash, and others are right across the street.

There is a bass clinic being held in Pasadena on Saturday.

See the ask Todd Johnson forum for details.

I'd rather learn from Todd, and Rhonda Smith than look at used gear any day.

Pasadena bass day....

Bass Exchange is in Sherman Oaks, just a few blocks shy of Guitar Center, on Ventura Blvd.
