Music Help

Sign in to disble this ad
Hi fellow basement dwellers. I've been reading these forums for quite some time. This is my first post, so please, be gentle.

I recently accepted a gig in a mainly top 40 female vocalist's cover band. We want to basically stay within that realm.

My musical preference tends to be on the heavier side. So playing whole note bubble gum music will be kind of boring for me. I will deal with it (by playing my own thing while not stepping on the song).

I would like to diversify the set list to include the boyfriends of our fans in the musical enjoyment. This is where you can help. I am on a search for top 40ish music with female vocals or male vocals in a soprano's range. Modern rock, dance, alternative, punk, R&B, metal, classic rock, funk, whatever you can come up with. Wait.... I think polka is out.

Thanks in advance,
DF

You could do some Meatloaf covers. Bat Out of Hell would be awesome to cover.
