Music Store in Columbia (Irmo), SC?

I'm at my girlfriend's house in Irmo, SC and I really want to find a good music store (with nice basses). Any suggestions for here or near here?

Thanks,

Jordan

Yeah, drive up to the GC in Charlotte, NC! Seriously, I've been to a couple music stores in Columbia, and they were all pretty lame.

You should also drive down to Augusta tonight and come see my band (along with some of the best metal bands in the region) at

Sector 7G
631 Ellis St
Augusta, GA 30901

...and there's actually a music store right around the corner that's got a handful of nice Warwicks in stock, plus a bunch of LTDs, and some MM knockoffs. Decent prices, too. PM me with your # if you need directions or anything.

Nice Subie badge in your avatar, btw.

thanks. I drive through Charlotte on my way home, so I may check out their GC.

I love my basses and my '05 STi.

I didn't think anything was in Irmo. Small towns usually don't have much to look at.

Hey Mod Scotty, is Stoney still doing his Lokal Loudness thing up there? If you ask "who?" then that'll answer my question. LOL

Jordan...nice ride. One of my buddies has one, and my bro has an 03 WRX.

2Loud....I know Stoney! He's still running Lokal Loudness. He's actually written a couple articles on my band for the Metro Spirit, too. He's good people!

Here's his current website: http://www.lokalloudness.com/

Yeah, my last band worked with him years ago. We were on a Lokal Loudness cd in '02. We played with Jemini & a few other local Augusta favorites back then. I do hope for the sake of his health he's lost weight. He was EASILY 300+lbs when we knew him.

GC is good in Charlotte, but Sam Ashe is way closer for you, assuming you're going through Charlotte on I-77 North from Irmo. It's just a stones throw off 77 on Tyvola road. This used to be Mars music untill they went under and Sam Ashe bought it. It's a large store, probably larger than GC. Enjoy

I lived in Columbia more than twenty years ago and I still get down there about once a year to see my family. Pecknel's Music used to be in Five Points, and they had a semi-decent selection of gear. I bought a nice Moog from them back in the day.

Small world man! My old bands played with them, too. What band were you in? We might have played a show together! I was in Optimist Prime, and then Kill Radius, before hooking up with Hollowmass. I think Kill Radius was on the Lokal Loudness CD in 03 or 04.

I had no idea there was a Sam Ash in Charlotte, too. I'll have to hit it the next time I'm up there!

I was in Wastegate. We played a few times there. Lets see, Jemani and Spyt were the 2 we played with most.

I recently ordered a Genz-Benz Shuttle 6.0 from this outfit in Hanahan, S.C. Michael, the owner, seems like a nice guy, and his communication has been great. If you're ever in the neighborhood, you may want to check them out.

That's funny. I remember seeing stickers for your band. It stuck because I'm big into cars.

Did you happen to play Master's Massacre at the Crossroads?
