Music stores in Florida???

Sign in to disble this ad
I'm going to be in Jacksonville for a long weekend within the next couple of weeks and want to do some shopping. I know there are like 3 GC's within driving distance and that Bass Central(most likely where I'll end up) is near Orlando. I just wanted to see if anyone else had any suggestions. Any place w/in 2hrs or so in any direction would be fine especially if I can get an idea of their inventory (new or used) before making the drive.

I'm thinking I want a Bongo but last time I was down there I found a fretless Pedulla I fell in love with, so I'm still open to suggestions.

There are also a couple George's Music locations, though they are pretty similiar in setup and inventory to GC last I checked. I'm not really familiar with any good mom & pop stores in the area, even though I've lived here over a decade.

my .02 is just go right to Bass Central, Beaver's store is one of the first if not the first Bass exclusive store. They have added some guitars but they are a bass oasis. Not to mention how great it is to speak to sales reps that actually know their products. If you get a chance to check out a Roasted Bongo, give it a go, for me it's the best one I've ever owned. Have a fun trip.

There are a couple small business around here. Johnny's Guitar, Grampa's Music, Chip's music, etc. Hit me up if you need more info. I live right by there and visit a lot of these stores.
