Music stores in NY

Hi!
I am thinking about going to New York to buy myself a new bass

The prices seems much lower in the US compared to the prices at home. The list price for a Music Man Sterling is about 2800 USD in Sweden!!!! I would appreciate it very much if you could give me some names of music stores in NY with a good selection of basses.
