A while back, I posted a recording of me and two other individuals, both sexy in their own way, rocking some piano, drums and bass w/a slide... Here is the video
I noticed it works better if you view it fullscreen, it loads faster for some reason.
Interesting facts
- I am wearing the world's worst hat
- That's my voice at the end, you can finally hear what I sound like. Isn't that wikkid sweet? I was the camera man during all of it, except for the filming of me.
- That bass is not mine, I didn't use my bass for the video because it was missing a string, but I did record with my bass.
- The film maker is not a musician, so hand movements vs. what is being played don't match always.
It's like pop up video, but not at all like pop up video.

Tell that to the pianist
We cranked that "song" (I consider it a song idea more than a song, we made this for animation purposes... music kinda background) out in like 3 hours (including recording mucky muck) and it sounds nothing like anything I've ever heard.
The girl is a musical genius and she's afraid to play with me. I suggested we work on more stuff and she kinda changed the subject. She always seems shy when it comes to music around me. Plus she has an awesome voice, and I normally don't like female vocals (outside of opera metal ).
And the drummer is just a total "lets go for it!" drummer, rock and roll to the core. So between her love of stuff like Ben Folds and Jazz, drummer's hard rock style, and my... I'm not sure what I was doing... I remeber being on a Mark Sandman kick.. can you tell?
And now she's moved to Pittsburgh to be a music major and I never really see her. Just the occasional myspace message. Tres Sad.
It freaks me out, because this isn't the first person who's been afraid to jam with me because I'm "too talented." Because they hear me jam with just drums, or solo... and I'm a total wankfest. Slap/pop/tap... and I'm not that good/impressive. I love chillin' out and working with other melodic elements, but nobody will let me. I'm actually not that good, and I'm sick of all these people assuming that I am.

very cool visuals and very primus-like bass.
yeah, do some more, dagnubbit!
and if that piano player tells you again that she's intimidated by your bassimilitude, just copy and paste one of these babies: |

It's actually been a while since I've heard this song, maybe I just need to force Ms. Pianophone into a corner and tell her awesome music is awesome... and we should make some. And then make her move back up here. We use to live together, and in the period of time, we jammed once... if that even. Such a waste.

Awww man, I can related, I had to deal with 56k for a while. I don't think it can download anywhere, google video is stream only. Buuuuut, you can leave it open for a while and let it load, then play. This dude is the d00d that dood it
I don't have any like hard copies of it to give out, if that's what you are talking about Joshua McBlissbones. But if you contacted that dude, he'd probably be stoked that someone liked his stuff.
And my tone is dry, no bassballs. I tried it with effects, but the line is too busy for any drastic effects... busy and sloppy.

What brand of hot dog did you use for that eating closeup?

That is a Country Fair Hot Dog.... we didn't even have to cook it.
On a side note, the cops made us move our drummer's kit from out of the side of the street. Leave it to "the man" to get in the way of art.

Pretty much everything.
I did most of the camera work, I was tossing ideas at him. I did all the REAL production (the assistant Casey said something like, "uh, maybe that tracks should be louder" stuff I ignored ). I carried the computer to the piano lab on campus so we could get a real accoustic piano sound. Whoa... I did a lot considering it wasn't my grade.
But I'm endlessly amused that the whole day, everybody was walking around singing my bassline. "Boo ba dat bom bat waaaaaaaah" A great compliment to any bassist.
