It was crazy, it was like he was channeling Keith Moon or something. They never really showed any clips of him playing a groove, but he could really get around the kit.

Have to check on rebroadcasts.
Not to derail the thread, but in the same vein, did anyone catch the Billy McLaughlin documentary on his dealing with focal dystonia? http://www.billymacmusic.com/dystonia.shtml
A very enlightening presentation. I recommend watching if you get the opportunity.

I think that one is called "Musical Minds"
Both of those programs are worth an hour of your life.

She had earned a B.A., an M.A., and done post-graduate work in English. She also played piano and violin.
After the stroke, she had a hard time with memory, the meaning of words, and her math and number skills became almost non-existent; math was nearly impossible, and even remembering phone numbers was hard. However, she could still sit at the piano and play from any of her music, with very few errors. It was more difficult than before, but it was the closest she could come to "normal" in all of her daily activities.

Actually I recommend all of his books, especially Anthropologist on Mars. |
