Mustang bass case options.

Hey all. Just bought a Mustang ReIssue. Great little bass for anyone interested. Muck better tone than I expected, good quality too.

Just wondering about case options for the bass. I am looking for a highly protective and durable hardcase. I might consider a gigbag with very thick padding. I don't want something made for a full scale bass because I like the compact size of the bass and don't want to carry extra weight/size unnecessarily. I don't want the bass flopping around inside the case either.

I know about the Fender G&G style case (~$150). I'm sure it fits perfect and is high quality but might be a bit too expensive, but I also might splurge.

I'm wondering if anyone has put their Mustang into one of the SX short scale cases (http://www.rondomusic.com/bgc200shortcase.html) and can comment about the fit and quality of the case.

Any other options I don't know about? Can someone recommend a good gigbag. Thanks in advance.

Rondo's short scale cases are great for the money. They're built surprisingly well considering the price. They are well worth the money.

Unfortunately, the Mustang will not fit in the Rondo case. The Mustangs are just a bit to tall and the huge headstock doesn't fit well.

Really? I figured it would. The mustang looks to be exactly 42" tall overall, which is what the rondo case interior dimension is supposed to be.

At any rate, thanks for the info, I was about to get one and would have been disappointed!
