My aunt just bought a VW and gave the guitar to me.

The guitar is made by First Act.

Description
-String-through solid white body w/ matching headstock and has 3 black pickguards.
-Maple neck and rosewood board with the VW logo inlay on the 12th fret.
-Chrome hardware
-Volume, Tone, and Master volume knobs. All look like the VW logo.
-Two humbuckers
-OBP+built in distortion effect.

Accessories
-VW logo picks
-1/4" to 1/8" instrument cable
-VW/First Act Strap
-9 volt
-Instruction booklet
-First Act car decal for your VW
-Gig bag

Pros
-The guitar is visually appealing. Not ugly at all.
-Excellent fret work. Far better than what I was expecting.
-The built in distortion is actually really nice sounding.

Cons
-The tuners are awful. Waaaaay too lose. A gust of wind could knock it out of tune.
-Uncomfortable to play while sitting down.
-Balance issues causes the neck to dive.
-Clean setting is quiet.

Pics coming later.

First Act = Wal Mart for 100.00

They don't hold tune or intonate at all.

But they go on Ebay for decent price for collectors.

Replace tuners with Grovers and Pickups and have a cheap fun guitar.

The book tells you to tune the bottom E string to the horn of your VW.

Nice to see all those pretty guitars First act makes uh?

Only problem is you got the wal-mart quality ones.

I remember when I was in boston I passed by their show room, very beautiful guitars probably some of the nicest I've ever seen only thing is the fact that they kinda dirtied their name with the whole selling in wal-mart thing.

it's so body heavy I could probably chop wood with it

I'd say about 90% of the people that bought the Jetta's or Golf's don't even know how to play. Even the intermediate guitar player knows that First Act guitars are generally Wal Mart quality.

If I could I'd sell the Jetta and get 6 Sadowsky's.
