My band broke up...

I was the bassist and one of the lead vocals in my band. My brother was the guitarist, and out step-dad filled in on drums. My brother claims that I want to sing every song, but he sung most of the songs at our first and final show . He also said his friends told him he was a better singer because he showed his friends a video comparison between me and him. One problem. It was on a bad night for me, and my voice was really deep sounding. I did however, after our gig, have a local blues guitarist, who is friends with me and my brother, tell him that I should be singing more of the songs because I have an amazing voice. We just had a band meeting, and I told him this, and he said, forget it, I am leaving.

He never wanted to practice, and when we did, didn't seem to be into it. He would mess up, and do solos out of key, and I would make suggestions on his screwups. He got angry, even though he always corrected me.

Ughhhh...I am looking for a new band as I type, but there are none around.

Too bad John's brother wasn't Brian May, or his step-dad was Roger Taylor, because then you would've made a joke. Well, good try.

Well what you have here is that he tried to make a joke but it really wasn't a joke, so much as a sentence. [/Calliendo]

Don't form bands with primadonna guitarists. Even if they're your brother.
