I thought I would just rant about what happend today and get other peoples views on the situation. Well ok here goes we practice every tuesday at 2 o'clock and usualy one to two other random days in the week but tuesday is a set day. Now I knew we had practice at two. I had to go take care of something wich was between ten and twelve thirty and my cell phone just broke two days ago (the guitarist knows that). So what happends was the guitarist calls the drummer and he ses he cant practice he has to go into work(he works for his dad) and his dad realy needs him and we can only practice for about an hour. So the guitar player trys to call me at 12 (I saw it on my caller id when i got home)so I get home right before one and I called him right back at one he picks up and hes like yo im done, im like done with what, hes like with the band, at this point im confused, so im just like why and he goes because chris (the drummer) always makes up excuses why we cant practice and I tryed calling u I couldnt get in touch with u im not ur mom. I just say first off we practiced 3 times last week, second off we are not rockstars here we have responsibilitys that hafe to be taken care of, second off u no my phone is broke and u no I said id be there at 2 last night so dnt bitch at me.
Then he rants on how he does everything. But I dnt get that cause one me and the singer write the lyrics two me and him write the songs instrumentals. Then when we where looking for a singer he didnt do anything to find one the drummer found a singer. So I dont get it.
Basicaly after that shots where fired verbaly, I wont go into detail about that.
Then I was like u are a lil baby looking for attention looking for us to beg u to stay in the band but if u want to quit go ahead u r nothing but a control freak who thinks that ur better then what u r.
What sucks is we wrote some realy good songs together and we been playing together for five years now. But the funny thing is we would sit there and WRITE THE SONGS TOGETHER, and we would come up a with few riffs we would build a song around while jamming WICH I CAME UP WITH THE MAIN RIFF TO OUR BEST SONG and he would take 100% credit for writing the songs. People would say who wrote that and he would go me. And to this day he insists that he came up with that riff while jamming and it pisses me off so much. And to our older songs I wrote most of the lyrics to all of them, I cam up with the concepts of the songs and I named them.
Now what hes going to do is find some other band clame their his songs and play the songs we wrote together...
Sorry for the long rant im just pissed at this *******. |

I know guys like him. He's is so self absorbed, he really believes he is the center of everything and the writer of all your songs. If I was you I'd quickly submit your songs for copyright in both your names before he does it in his name.

My advice about the band situation: learn English.

That being said the other guy pretty much sounds like a douche bag but unless you are actually making money here theres pretty much nothing you can do. However, if everyone already knows he is using songs that were associated with your group he is going to publicly look like a douche bag. Which is, of course, always entertaining. |

| | <-- That guy looks like me, but old. | | Join Date: Aug 2002 Location: Arlington TX | | | I've got a headache from looking at it, but I agree. Just get a new guitar player. They're usually the easiest member of the band to replace anyway.
Don't believe me? Go find a singing keyboardist.
See? Told ya.
