My band Brixton Crenchy is still competing on this rock band contest by motorola, www.motorokrband.com.ar
Check it out some of the bands are great. It's a good chance to hear what's being played in Argentina. I know most of you don't speak spanish, but don't let that turn you off.

Out of about 1700 bands that entered the contest, there are now 12 bands left. Brixton Crenchy is one of them. The 12 bands will be playing live the 5th of june and from there the jury and audience will decide the 6 bands that continue on the contest. Hopefully there's a chance for us to win the contest, the prize is studio hours and a record deal.
If you have the time you can check our band out, http://www.tublip.com/musicos/brixtoncrenchy/

and it would be really helpfull if those of you that speak some spanish go through the registration process and give my band a vote if you like the music!

I live on Long Island. You can't order at Taco Bell or get your lawn cut if you don't speak Spanish. My spelling may be a little weak, though.

I'll keep you updated!! so far it's working great for us, we are being heard by a lot more people than we could have imagined. Regardless of the result of the contest if we are smart we can use this to our advantage.

Six bands left in the contest!

So, thursday night my band played live in the contest, and now there's only 6 bands left!!! we play again june19th. it was a bit chaotic, 12 bands playing one after the other, no soundchek, 5 minutes for each band to set up their things and start playing, 2 songs per band and a max of ten minutes each. As a result most bands didn't sound too good... everybody was really nervous and there wasn't much time to enjoy it. I had never played such a big stage with my band with such sound and lights... lights were great apparently, not so much the sound. The next time we hope the nerves are gone and we get to enjoy it.
